I am a girl and I want to become an army officer. Am I eligible for joining Indian army? My height is 4 feet 11 inches.

Women officers are inducted in the Indian Army through the Shot Service Commission (Non-Technical) scheme. Under this scheme, the female candidates aspiring to be part of Indian Army must appear for Combined Defence Services Examination. The CDS exam is conduced twice a year, in the months of July and November by UPSC.
