I am a hardware engineer and I want to go for android development. Is it a right choice?

Android Development is a crowded space filled by lots of B.Tech CS/IT/ECE, MCA, BCA, B.Sc IT graduates. You may struggle to find good job. Also you may not get advantage of your hardware experience in next Software job and may have to start as fresher on a software role.
