I am a MA 2nd semester student. Can I apply for UGC NET exam?

<p>If you fulfill the requirements established by the National Testing Agency (NTA), then you are eligible to apply for the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) as a second semester MA (Master of Arts) student. The following are the prerequisites for UGC NET eligibility:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>It is expected of you to have earned or are working toward a Master's degree in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science courses, Computer Science &amp; Applications, Electronic Science, etc. from UGC-accredited colleges or institutions.</li><li>Candidates in the General, OBC, ST, SC, PwD, and transgender categories must have at least a 55% (no rounding off) grade in their master's degree or an equivalent exam from a university or institution recognised by the UGC.</li><li>Applicants may also apply for this test if they are pursuing a Master's degree or an equivalent course, if they have taken their qualifying examinations but have not yet received their results, or if their qualifying examinations have been postponed.</li></ul>
