I am a post graduate with economics, do I have to clear NET with economics or can I choose any subject under economics?

    As you said you have a Master's degree in Economics, so you can appear for UGC NET in Economics itself. You don't need to choose any other subject under Economics. Make sure that you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks (For general) or 50% aggregate marks (for SC/ST/OBC/PwD category). If you want to apply for JRF, then your age must not exceed 30 years. For Assistant Professor, this type of conditions are not applied.
