I am a software engineer and will have 2 years full time experience in july 2012 when is the best time to give the GMAT exam in 2012?

1) I would like to begin the course in 2013 2) I would prefer the elite colleges like Wharton,Columbia,Kellogs,UCLA etc. 3) What should my GMAT score be and is 2 years of experience enough?
