I am a software engineer.I am confused whether to go for MBA after 2-3 yrs or do an executive MBA after 5 yrs of work exp.Suggest som clg.

The best option is to do MBA through a regular course. The next best would be to go for a part-time MBA of 3 years. If this is also not feasible then better do it through distance education after completing 3 years of work experience.
