I am an M.Sc organic chemistry student. Which subjects should I choose in UGC NET?

UGC exam has few science streams. M.Sc in organic chemistry would come under the chemical Science stream. This exam would cover questions from different Science streams which come under chemical Science like organic and inorganic chemistry. The exam is for 2 1/2 hours and has two papers. The first paper will contain general science questions. This will be common for all exam streams of NET. Paper 2 will have short answer questions and this is specific to each Science stream. This will be in descriptive form. So a very broad level preparation is needed and you should not limit the study to organic chemistry alone, but also to other branches of chemistry like inorganic and physical chemistry too.
