Hi, In order to pursue Phd, from universities abroad, you need to first of all make a list of the universities that you aspire for, then send emails to respective course department, asking them to provide you the eligibility criteria and selection procedure for PHD students. It may take three to six years to complete your PHD, depending on the field you select and your mentor. The general eligibility criteria for PHD students are as follows: In majority of the institutes, Master's Degree is an essential pre-requisite for a Ph.D. while others admit graduates too. To be frank, SMU is not considered a reputed university by leading Universities in USA or UK. while selecting candidates for P.hd. candidates US and Uk universities will see your scholastic achievments, published papers, any presentation which you might have made etc. I would suggest you to strengthen yhese areas to strengthen your chances of making it to a P.hD.
