I am an MBBS doctor. I did not qualify NEET 2018. Am I eligible to do any specialisation like Diploma in any clinical stream?

Yes, NEET is not required to take admission in Lovely Professional University (LPU), and this also varies with the course. In case of B.Tech, LPU primarily accepts the score of its in-house entrance test known as LPUNEST. There is also the option of getting admission by using the scores of JEE Main. In case of specialised programs such as Biotechnology, Food Technology and Biomedical Engineering, NEET marks are extraneous rather than not.

NEET is necessary in any health and medical Science courses such as Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT). But in most cases like BBA, BCA, B.Com and BA the admission is done on the basis of your 10+2 marks and you do not need NEET. Although these courses do not require that you take the LPUNEST, passing the exam will entitle you to scholarships.

On the whole, LPU has flexible entry process in line with the needs of different students facilitating access to the high quality education that does not always imply the need to have NEET.
