i am an MBBS doctor..i want to know whether i can do a phD at this stage from any university in india,or do i hav to do a PG degree first???
i hav done MBBS. at present m appointed as a demonstrator/tutor (physiology) in a medical college.now as i hav heard that after mbbs 1 can directly do a phD on interview basis.i want to know whether it is true or not?or do i hav to go for a post graduatio to be eligible for doin PhD???

Hi,
After completing MBBS you have 2 broad research option :
First , you can get admission to a Medical Postgraduate Program (MD or MS) for 3 yrs and then enrol for Ph.D.

To apply PhD in India is quiet easy... but there are some tips for that
1.) the best scenario is having someone having a fellowship ( mostly provided by ICMR, DBT, CSIR, UGC), if u have any of these fellowships its very easy to get into a good PhD programs offered in institutes like IISc, AIIMS,PGI
