I am an SC candidate. Can I join LPU directly with my SC cut-off marks in JEE Mains without writing LPU-NEST? My score is 45 out of 360.

I got 45 mark and if cutoff for JEE main for SC candidates is 32 then can I get direct admission or not?

Yes, you will be directly getting the admission. Moreover, I suggest lpu-nest so because this exam will give you a proportionally better scholarship.

Yes, you can join. They have different criteria for admission in UG courses.
    All the best.
  • Dear Student,
For admission in B.Tech, we are considering only LPU-NEST at this time, however we may accept admissions on the basis of JEE Mains in future if there is availability of seats after the admission on the basis of LPU-NEST. If we talk about cutoff for taking admission in any of the streams of B.Tech, The cutoff of JEE-Main is 80 and we do not provide any relaxation in this on the basis of category. So, you will have to qualify LPU-NEST to get an admission. For further queries you can contact us on Toll Free: 1800 102 4431

No, you can't get admission on basis of JEE result as it is still very low, so the better option is you can go for LPU-NEST which is easy and you may get a scholarship if you score good marks.

You can get admission on basis of JEE marks, but they don't take into consideration SC marks. Whatever overall marks you have got in JEE get admission on basis of that. Also. You will get scholarship on basis of JEE marks if you fulfill the eligibility criteria for scholarship. For more details, contact the university.
