i am B.E. ETC. interested in mba. which specialisation best for me???... in which city?

Dear Rasik, if you are asking this question then either you are in 3rd year or after pass out, you have not got a job. Secondly, during this time of the year, already CAT, MAT results are out and you can apply for only Oct-Dec cycle of CAT and MAT respectively. Today, doing MBA from any institution which does not accepts student through a qualifying exam, is meaning less as far as Management career is concerned. Thirdly, if you do MBA as a fresher engineer, you will never do engineering related jobs in future and you will always be treated as management candidate. Lastly, after having 2-3 year work experience, if you pursue MBA, it will be more meaningful, rewarding and career booster. Now, specialization should be chosen according to your work area so as to strengthen your domain expertise. In case, you decide to do MBA without any experience, then choose an specialization which you like because all specialization have equal opportunities. Hi, Its good to know that you are interested in pursuing MBA, its a holistic course which deals with management aspects, the major specialization in MBA are: Finance. Marketing. Human resources. Operations management. All these specializations offers good career prospects and growth opportunities, most of the students from engineering background opt for either finance or operations as their specialization, however it would be always advisable that before opting for any specialization you must first decide in which field you wish to build your career and accordingly you can opt for the best specialization as per your interest and liking. As per your profile, it would be advisable for you to work for 2-3 years after graduation and then opt for MBA. The advantage of this step would be: You will gain relevant work experience, and you will learn how to implement theoretical knowledge in practical situations. After working you will know in which field you are actually interested in i.e. if you are interested in technical field than you can pursue masters in same or related field, where as if you are interested in management you can pursue MBA. If you are interested in pursuing MBA, then this work experience would help you to get admission in good universities and institutes. Finally if you work for some years, you can yourself finance partial or full tuition fees for the universities.
