Hi,
After B.E in mechanical engineering, there are several options :
1) You may opt for M.Tech if you wish to study the technical aspect of the branch. For that you need to appear in GATE.
2) You may pursue MBA if you wish to move your career towards management line. You may sit for entrances

You may first opt for GATE. That opens up for your career or further post graduation. Parallely you try for IES if you like. Appear for CAT also.

YOU CAN GIVE CIVIL SERVICE EXAM AND IF YOU ANT TO GO IN YOUR CURRENT FIELD THEN YOU CAN GIVE GATE EXAM TO GET ADMISSION IN MTECH
