It is upto the policy of a particular Technical Board or University or Autonomous Body that what exactly an eligibility is required for pursuing the Ph D in Engineering. Moreover, I have seen in brochures of IITs and UPTU that with a vallid GATE score and some specified percentage in B Tech you can
