you have to start study of general study you can prefer spectrum book , maths aptitude you can prefer arihant publication book or maths ncrt books from 6-10 class , you also have to read CSR magazine for update current affairs , and also prepare for English grammar

For becomming an IPS officer you need to clear the UPSC exam with high merit. For appearing in the prelims of this exam you need to be of minimum 21 years age and a Graduate. You can make 4 attempts in this exam but the upper age limit is 30 years. I suggest that once you complete your graduation you should join a coaching institute of repute for a 4 to 5 months coaching stint. Preparation for UPSC exam requires lot of knowledge about current affairs, your GK must be high standard, your analytical ability should be very good, your need to remember what you have learnt / studied. You need to have good communicative ability to express your thoughts. Your answering speed should also be good so that you can attempt more questions in the exam. The knowledge of the subject that you choose for the exam should be very good. And above all you need to have confidence to break-through the prelims, mains and the interview of UPSC exam.
