i am confused between AME (aircraft maintenance engineer) and BE. will you please help me to take a decision which will decide my future

I had cleared CWET exam for AME course and also interested in this but from many people i heard that there is no intake of freshers in this job. we have to wait for 5-6 years so that we get sufficient experience for this job. can you please tell me the scope in aircraft maintenance engineering.
