Yes, preparation for NMAT and SNAP can be done together as most of the syllabus of both the exams are identical. Candidates are always recommended to appear for both the exams together if you are planning to give any one. Both NMAT and SNAP have four broad sections, that include Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Language skills. The names of these sections can change across different exams but are identical in relation to the MBA entrance exams.

Although one can prepare for all MBA entrance exams simultaneously, candidates must tweak the preparation strategy and fine tune a particular type of question

NMAT is a unique MBA entrance exam as it is conducted in a 90-day test window while SNAP will be conducted over three days, in a non-consecutive manner. Candidates can attempt SNAP twice and the score of best of the two will be considered for admission.

No, NMAT is not compulsory to get admission into the PGPM course at Athena School of Management, because the school also accepts several other entrance examination scores for admission to this management course, such as NMAT/ GMAT/ CAT/ ASAT - Athena Scholastic Ability Test. Therefore, NMAT is one of the accepted entrance exams for admission to the PGPM course. However, it is not compulsory. Therefore, candidates with relevant scores in any of the following entrance exams can get admission to PGPM courses.

NMAT scores are accepted for admission at more than 50 b-schools. There is no common admission policy for all NMAT participating colleges. All participating colleges for NMAT will set its own eligibility conditions, cutoff scores, academic requirements, work experience preference, and selection process.

Some of the NMAT participating colleges may have selection rounds, such as Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), or Personal Interview (PI). Some b-schools may have more weightage for NMAT scores, while some might have more weightage for the internal selection rounds.

NMAT scaled scores are based on the raw exam score after adjusrting for the difficulty level of the exam version. The scaled score helps ensure fairness across different test slots. Whereas, the NMAT percentile score was calculated earlier to evaluate candidates on a relative scale. Lately, GMAC dropped releasing the NMAT percentile score. NMAT scorecard hosts the NMAT scaled score for all three sections as well as the overall scaled score of the candidate.
