    1)
    UPSC examination is conducted every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
    To be eligible :
    - You need to pass graduation in any field from any recognized university.
    - You are eligible if you are in the final year of graduation.
    - Your age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.
    - You must be an Indian citizen.
    2)
    Preparation :
    To crack the exam, the preparation requires the right approach along with the right study materials and strategy.
    - You may refer to guide books such as :
    General Studies Manual
    Indian Politics by Laksh

    Start reading good books for gs and csat and consult papers of upsc .

    You can start preparation for general study , you can prefer Spectrum book for general study and for regular update current affairs , you can read CSR magazine or praiyogita darpan

    Hello Mugdha, I appreciate that you want to prepare for for the Most prestigious Job of an IAS.
    General candidates get 4 attempts till they attain 30 yrs of Age. You need to have a bachelor's degree in any stream. You can also appear in the exam if you are awaiting your final results for bachelor's. There are 2 parts to the exam. Preliminary and Mains, both consists of compulsory papers of your choice and 1 optional paper. Preliminary primarily tests your general knowledge and current awareness.
    You can decide subject of your choice and buy study materials accordingly and start preparing now. Later, you can join some coaching institute
