I basically wanna know that is it necessary to score high marks in our engg exams, or the SAT, GRE/GMAT, TOEFL scores are enough to get admissions over there....

If you score 50% marks then that is what is minimum required to be eligible for most of the reputed MBA institutes. I suggest you give competitive exam such as that of CAT for getting admission to a reputed MBA college.
