I am currently in 12th and I was looking over the syllabus of ECE, it has a word called elective (professional and other one). What is that?

Yes, there are two sections one is elective and other is your common subjects with other branches. Elective courses are that subject, which are of your core areas of your respective branch. Hope your query is resolved.
