I am currently in 2nd year B.Sc. Should I go for general microbiology or do a specialization in microbiology in Masters?

Hi Sindhu,
If you have interest in any specialisation, then go for specialisation else go for general M.Sc. Micobiolgy. The scope of Microbiology is huge because of the involvement of microbiology in various fields such as Pharmacy, Medicine clinical research, Agriculture, Dairy industry, Water industry, nanotechnology & chemical technology. At present, the scientific, analytical and problem-solving skills developed by microbiology graduates are high in demand by employers. The master courses in this field are of two years:
Master of Science in Microbiology
Master of Science in Applied Microbiology

5 years agoSpecialisation in microbiology, because if you have any special degree in any particular course, then you have got lot of opportunities in any field, because you have special degrees. So, according to my view, you should go for Masters in Biology.
