I am currently in B.Tech 2nd year & want to appear for IIT JAM mathematics. Am I eligible? How should I prepare?

    Hi Arnab,
    I'm in the same boat as you are and I did some research on it. The answer is, it depends on your university as most of the old universities in India still teach 4 semesters of engineering mathematics with makes you eligible for most of the programs through IIT JAM. If your university doesn't offer 4 semesters of mathematics in any form, even after giving the exam, you might have to drop from opting a lot of course because those are courses for B.Sc Mathematics students and you aren't one if you haven't studied mathematics for at least 4 semesters.

    Hello,
    No, you cannot appear in IIT JAM Exam. To appear in JAM Exam you must have completed your Bachelor's degree in any discipline and from any recognised university. If you are in the final year of your graduation, then also you can appear in JAM Exam. You also need to satisfy the other eligibility condition required to appear in the exam.
