As CAT is one of the toughest Entrance Examination it would not be easy to prepare for CAT through self study so, advisable would be to join a coaching Institute as in the coaching Institutes there would be faculties who could guide you & peer group with whom you can discuss and clear y

First, you cannot give CAT this year and even if you appear it is of no use
So better you start preparing
You should focus ON quantitative techniques, current financial update and current affairs
read good financial magazine and newspaper
