You should do BE/B.Tech as you are Diploma student you can get Lateral Entry in 2nd year. You can do Engineering in anyone of these branches - Mechanical, Automobile, Production, Instrumentation, etc. Given below is the article on courses after Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Check it out.

B.Tech/BE through lateral entry (direct second year admission) will be best for you, you have to appear for LEET examination to get a good college.
