Yes, you can definitely switch to aerospace engineering after completing your mechanical diploma. Most universities allow lateral entry, so you can join directly in 2nd year (3rd semester) of B.Tech Aerospace Engineering instead of starting from 1st year. Eligibility usually requires a relevant d

You can study Aerospace Engineering, both through lateral entry and regular entry. Lateral Entry will be a better option, as it saves a year.
