As rightly said by arun dev that there is no specific qualification required for Journalism; only a diploma or degree would do. But what is more important is passion towards the field as this field requires a lot of creativity and hard work.
Journalism as a career is very challenging and requires a lot of hard work and patience. To become a good journalist you need to have a good command over English, Hindi and your regional language. Apart from good English you also have to be a good listener and an interpreter, so that you are able to convey exactly what is important for the people and how will it effect them. Graduates of any stream are eligible to opt for Journalism Courses. A Journalism degree or a diploma isn't strictly necessary, although some organisations prefer it. There is no substitute for Practical Training. However, a Postgraduate degree or Diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication is necessary.
