Hi,
Yes you can since two degrees at same time (distance and regular) are allowed. But pursuing BA won't help you much. I may suggest you to pursue some additional courses which are designed basically to provide an extra edge to an individual by giving them an in-depth knowledge in a particular area of subject.
Oracle, CCNA,CISCO etc are a few good options for an IT professional. Pursuing any certificate course would add an extra achievement to your resume.

Dear Varun, BTech with BA? that sounds quite strange .
I dont understand ur Inclination to Arts even when having Technical education.
If Art is ur passion then u can do some short courses.but 3 year BA would ruin your B.Tech degree , I mean how can u study both of degree at a time with only few hours left after your college time.
Career wise B.Tech is much more superior and secure mode of Job,Money and satisfaction.
My personal opinion to u is dont waste ur time in BA, concentrate on B.Tech , complete it with good % and get a job in MNC or reputed org, then go for ur passion .
