I am doing BA English (Hons.) from Miranda House, DU & want to make my career in mass communication. Am I on the right path?

I am planning to do my PG in mass communication from IIMC or Jamia Milia Islamia. Kindly confirm, is English (Hons.) a correct UG course for it?
