i am doing btech from instrumentation control engg. from nsit. can i appear for exams such as gate and ies?

Ya you can give the paper of GATE. but not of IES. as in Indian Engineering Service there are Only 4 branches CIVIL , MECHANICAL , ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS Out of these Civil has the maximum seats.
