I am doing civil engineering. Can you mention 1-2 core subjects that one should study to set up a chemical or mechanical plant after degree?

My college allowed me to study other topics also. I am not sure about a career after doing civil engineering. My uncle just set up a leather chemical plant. So, to grab maximum from my college, name core subjects of other branches that I should study to set up a chemical or mechanical unit.
