Hi Avneesh, First of all I must say that you have set a very tough goal for yourself as, IIM Ahmedabad is one of the best IIMs however nothing is unachievable. To get entry to IIM you have to clear CAT and to sit for CAT you need to have aggregate percentage of 50% through a recognized University. Apart from this you need to clear GD &PI if you get a call on the basis of your percentile. As far as Preparation is concerned, I would say for preparation of CAT there is no one set of books which you can consult. For quantitative ability & logical reasoning section you should start going through the NCERT Books of class 9-12. For Verbal ability I would say, you can purchase Wren and Marten & a good dictionary would to start your preparations. You should study good intermediate level text books on different subjects which will help you in Passage section of verbal ability also read News paper magazines regularly, & listen to the News Channels. Hope this resolves your query. Feel free to put up more queries. In case your query is resolved please close this question by choosing it as a “best answer” or pressing the “thumbs up” icon. I would suggest you to join a good coaching institute like TIME, IMS, CL etc. They will provide you good quality content as well as guidance. In the meantime, you could prepare on your own also by following these books quants - RS Agarwal LRDI - Trishna verbal - Arun Sharma/ Norman lewis/ Wren & Martin Pracice is the key to success for CAT. With more practice, one not only gets a good grab on concepts, but also gets more accuracy and speed.
