i am doing instrumentation engineering and preparing for GRE what will be the right time to give GRE if i plan to go in 2013 only

Since American university sessions generally start in January and in August, I would suggest taking the exam as soon as you can, so that you can have everything finished before our July 1 admissions deadline for the August semester.
