I am doing MA in sociology and right now, I'm in second semester (1st year). Can I appear in NET which will be held in July 2018?

    You need to be in the final year of Master's degree to apply for this course. A provisional admission will be given to those students. In your case, you won't be eligible to apply now. For details refer to the link: https://www.shiksha.com/teaching-education/exams/ugc-net.
