Yes, you can do it by given entrance exams: IIT JAM, JNU, CBEE, and any others universities like BHU, JNU, DU, HYU, etc.

Yes, the best part of doing graduation fro a general course is that options for M.Sc are open in all the fields for you. So, you can go for biotechnology.
