    Hi,
B.Tech engineering is a good branch with bets placements. I am afraid that in Tamil Nadu you would have to give TANCET for admission in universities of repute like ANNA, Christ etc. There are equally good universities offering good academics and placements like LPU which has received the award for best placements for three consecutive years. Similarly SRM too is going great. Institutions are going for many strategies to make their students more enterprising. Browse through some good sites like LPU, SRM, NALSAR etc. and check the academic excellence offered. Also check the scholarship slabs.

If I may enquire as to what is prompting you to seek admission in a college in Tamil Nadu? Coming back to your query. Tamil Nadu like many other states allows admissions to domiciles of Tamil Nadu. Hence I am afraid you are ineligible to seek admission in an engineering college in Tamil Nadu. I am attaching a link that will give all the required information about admission in Tamil Nadu. http://www.tnea.in.net/eligibility-criteria/
    Thank you.
