I am going to appear 12th examination in March, 2023. What's the eligibility and admission procedure at NISER?

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) is located in Jatani, Odisha. The college was established in 2007. The college offers M.Sc. At UG level, M.Sc-PhD at PG level and Ph.D. at Doctoral level. The Institute is spread across 298 acre of land. The library of NISER has 20000 books and 3850 journals. NISER Admission Process Students are required to appear for National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) Candidates must appear for the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) or Joint Entrance Screening Test JEST to take admission in M.Sc-PhD programme. For admission to Ph.D. programme, students need to appear in any of the National Level Eligibility Tests, such as NET (CSIR-UGC), GATE DBT, ICMR or ICAR. NISER Application Process Step 1: Visit the official website, fill in the application form Step 2: Upload the required documents and submit the application form Step 3: Candidates need to upload the scanned copies of recent passport-size photo and signature. They also need to upload scanned copies of documents supporting the eligibility criteria.

First step involves an open call by the institute, followed by shortlisting based on the eligibility criteria of the respective schools and/or scores in the national examinations such as CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE/JEST/. This is followed by written tests and/or interviews conducted by respective schools.
