I am going to give my HSC (commerce) exams in 2019. Should I pursue B.Sc in IT after it as I want to study further in IT and software?

Since you mentioned about your interest in IT and software, you should definitely go for B.Sc. In IT. It's a technical course though. As the name suggests, this course is all around the field of Information Technology. You can even consider it similar to IT Engineering.
