I am going to pursue BCS and wish to do an MBA after that, but have heard that both are entirely different fields, is it really so?
Wanted to know that will any knowledge that i gain in my BCS be useful in MBA in any way? and also wanted to know regarding which field in MBA will suit me such that my BCS knowledge could be somehow utilised?

BBA and even B Com would be the sort of same/ similar field you are imagining. But there's nothing wrong with pursuing an MBA after a BCS as MBA is more of a multidisciplinary area.

You can surely pursue MBA after you complete your BCS, MBA is a holistic course which deals with management aspects, the major specialization in MBA are:
Finance.
Marketing.
Human resources.
Operations management.
All the above mentioned fields have good career prospects and offers good growth opportunities.
To pursue MBA, you need to have:
Good academic record, preferably 55%-60% plus in graduation.
Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
