Can you please clarify as to what do you mean as a legal hire? Do you mean JAG or a normal lawyer, who works on army matters sometimes?

JAG stands for Judge Attorney General in the Army. This is a good choice for a law graduate. It is legal. Hire in army seems to be a good choice, considering not lot many opt for this.
