Hello,
It's good that you want to start your JEE Mains and Advanced preparations from 11th standard. That means you have 1 year to prepare for these exams.
The 11th class syllabus covers 40% marks in the IIT JEE exam. So, you have the chance to hold a good command over these topics from now onwards. So, when you will be class 12th, you have to study that syllabus only for JEE exam.
Remember, keep revising class 11th topics along with class 12th concepts.
After you complete class 11th and 12th syllabus, it's time for revision and practice.
Practice mock tests and previous years papers of JEE exam which will surely add scores to your result....more -

7 years agoHi, for JEE Mains and Advance, it is absolutely necessary that you know the class 11th and 12th syllabus thoroughly. As you are in class 11th right now, so try making class 11th course concepts very clear as it is a bit difficult than class 12th. Try studying from NCERT books and solve the previous year question papers of JEE Mains and Advanced. -

7 years agoHello Poojan,
It's really heartening to know about your dreams of joining IIT and in turn seeking this advise. Well, it's actually very simple. Remember, syllabus of JEE Mains is same as that of 12th of CBSE. Almost all boards have similar syllabus, so don't worry. Start studying seriously for 11th and 12th. Aim for understanding subject and not passing exam. Make a time table with time for each subject.
