As you are in 12th, you should focus on your studies only, not on GATE or job GATE is a national examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science IISc, Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee on behalf of the National Coordination Board GATE Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education Government of India. Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission or financial assistance to Masters programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering Technology Architecture and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Arts and Science, in the institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies. Even in some colleges and institutions, which admit students without MoE scholarship assistantship, the GATE qualification is mandatory. Further, many Public Sector Undertakings PSUs have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process. If you pursue graduation course After 12th like, B.Tech, B.E, then you can start preparation for GATE also every year, various PSU recruit GATE qualified students in B.Tech domain majority from core branch for jobs at executive level, in which starting salary CTC is approximately 20Lakh per year.
