    Hello, If you want to apply for UPSC first you must have graduation degree from any recognized university with any stream with only passing marks are required and the candidate should have the minimum age of 21 years. For General Category candidates, the new age limit is 32 years and the number of attempts is 06. For OBC category candidates, the new age limit is 35 years and the number of attempts is 09. For SC/SC category candidates, the new age limit is 37 years while the number of attempts unlimited.

    Hello Dear, For UPSC you need to be a graduate from UGC recognised institutions. So you need to complete 12th and have to go for graduation to be eligible.

    Hello, UPSC Exam Details: Eligibility
    For the IAS IFS & IPS, a candidate must be a citizen of India. For the IRS and other services, a candidate must be one of the following:
    A citizen of India.
    *a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
    UPSC Exam Details: Educational Qualification.

    HI Mohith,
    You are not eligible for UPSC examination. The minimum eligibility for the examination is graduation.

In my opinion, if you want to prepare for UPSC or any other competitive exams later, you can pursue a BA in Political Science, Economics, History, or Sociology. No, the Commission do not mention any Minimum Qualifying Marks for the General Studies Paper 1. But there is a criteria of Minimum 33 % for the General Studies Paper 2 (Aptitude) paper.

The IAS Prelims exam is conducted offline in the pen and paper mode. There is no sectional cutoff in the IAS prelims exam because the number of questions from a section is not fixed and they vary year to year.
