Its a good indicator that you are aiming to pursue higher education abroad in 1st year of Bachelor's itself. First decide in which country you wish to study. Most people go for USA, UK,Canada, Germany, Australia, NewZeland and few more countries.
Try to score 70%+ in order to get into decent universities and 80%+ in Bachelor's to get in top universities.
If you are planning to study in USA, then you have to take GRE & TOEFL. Score atleast 310 out of 340 in GRE & 100 out of 120 in TOEFL to get in good universities.
For Canada, Germany, UK, Australia & NewZeland - TOEFL or IELTS is enough. GRE is not required.

Maintain at least 8 CGPA. participate in various co-curricular activities and extra-curricular activities. Try to publish 1-2 papers when you are in the 3rd year. From now, focus on aptitude and written English. As you will become a mechanical engineer, so I would recommend you to go to Germany. Try to learn the German language from now. Put all the efforts, you will be the one who gets the best university.
Best of luck.
