I am in 8th semester btceh.I am thinking to give OLD GRE after 4months as I will be joining my job later for minimum 2 years during which i wont get preparation time.what would be better:to give the NEW GRE course or the OLD one? Wont the universities prefer NEW GRE score over older one after 3yrs?

Universities have no preference between the old and the new. Hence, you should take the GRE when you have time to prepare and earn a great score. The two tests measure the same skills but in different ways.
