I would recommend that as you study for your 10+2, you start practicing sketching to begin with. Try to observe things closely and sketch them. You can also buy good sketch books from the market for sketching including shading, shadows, and human figures. However, soon you may have to upgrade to more serious books like "The Animator's Survival Kit" by Richards William. You could also study composition by reading "Composing Pictures" by Don Graham. Later on you may take up a Degree (multimedia and animation). Arena also offers such a Degree. If you like this answer you may select it as best answer or press like

    Hi Sanskriti,
There are many degree and diploma courses in animation. The minimum education qualification for animation course is plus two or equivalent (any stream).
Good drawing and sketching skills along with strong imagination and visualization are added skills required to become an able animator.
So, join a stream of your interest after 10th and study well.
Please feel free to discuss more. Click on the thumbs up or mark it as the best, if you found this useful.
    Wish You Luck!

    Hello Sanskriti
Animation is a field which requires your creativity and passion. Animation is Art in Motion and calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess.
If you have fine arts subject in School, do prefer it.
Learning Software alone won't help you. First acquire artistic skills on paper, then learn application software's for expressing skills in the Digital Medium.
Kindly revert for any further queries, also if you liked this answer then rate it 'Best answer' or give a 'Thumbs Up' rating.
