Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for Ph.D. aspirants. Research Scholars studying in Post-Graduation can apply for LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). From the outset of the LPUNEST (Ph.D.) numerous aspirants have been appearing in the LPUNEST exam every year. LPUNEST (Ph.D.) provides an extensive opportunity to the aspirants who wish to join Ph.D. programme at LPU and pursue their career in the direction of research. The purview of this exam is to identify Ph.D. aspirants that have the potential to engage in ground-breaking research and inspire future generations. This test will have a twofold advantage as it will act as Entrance Test as well as Scholarship Test. Course work is mandatory for all the Research Scholars admitted in Ph.D. Programme. The course work will have a minimum of 08 credits. The evaluation parameters will be similar to that of regular programmes of the university. The minimum passing marks required in the course work of Ph.D. programme is 55% in the individual courses. Exemption in course work will be applicable only if Research Scholar has done M.Phil. with 55% or equivalent grade B in the UGC 7-point scale through the full-time mode from LPU or any other university. Being an LPU alumni I would like to say that LPU has very simple admission process when it comes to Ph.D. For admission to Ph.D. the criteria is 55% aggregates marks in your Masters and you have to qualify interview along with LPU NEST. Also LPU is the only university in India which gives multiple coursework options for Ph.D. (Part time) students like: 1.15-days course work (November/ December 2021) 2.4-days course work every month (September to December, 2021) 3. Classes on weekends (Saturday & Sunday only August to November, 2021) Apart from that Full time Ph.D. students can get teaching assistantship they can earn while learn upto 15500/- LPU has the most advanced labs dedicated to research work Block 38 known as R & D Department. Many labs are maintained by Cisco, Cadence. LPU also has Central Instrumentation Facility which is one of its kind. It has high end instruments and these instruments and facilities help the faculty members, research scholars and students to carry out globally competitive research in basic, applied and medical sciences. The Lab has many instruments like Powder X-ray diffractometer, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Density Meter, Viscometer, Probe Sonicator, Gas Chromatograph and Mass Spectrometer. What I believe for pursuing Ph.D. you always do possess research oriented approach. Like other courses here also in doctoral level study, you need to be hard working, studious, focused to your domain of study so that you could be able to complete your Ph.D. in minimum time frame with Good Research Publication. I had pursued my B.Tech. MBA from Lovely Professional University. I had been placed well in corporate Industry but at the same time I do prefer to pursue my Ph.D. from here itself in Part time mode.
