Though, majorly, the placements are based on your coding, problem solving skills and your relative attributes such as soft skills, personality and how you performed at the date of interview. For Hons, you will need to study one subject extra. Though, that will be a plus point, but frankly speaking, you get enough time to study the extra subjects on your own by reading books or online. I highly recommend you to take B.Tech and then study according to your comforts. Also, there is hardly any difference in the placements for both the streams. -

Hons. course is always better as compared to regular course. You study more courses and get a specialization in course course. As for placements, there is no difference. Same inputs are given to both and also same type of companies are there for both. Placement depends upon your hard work and performance in the drive.
