I am in M.Sc. biotechnology (1st year), can I apply for GATE?

Hello Dear, As you are first year student, my dear, you are not eligible to apply. In your second year you can apply and if you get good rank it is valid for two years. Nextly, it would help you to gain experience about the question set and how you have to manage timing next time. Start your preparation from the first year itself for GATE Entrance as you have achieve the rank within 50s my dear the competition getting tougher and tougher as the year is passing. All the best.
