I am in my first year of B.Tech CSE. I want to learn coding. How can I start?

As you are a beginner in programming, first you should select a programming language. I would recommend C, as you'll be studying C in at-least first 3 semesters of your B.Tech. So, practicing in C will also help you to score good in your course. Now, before you begin, your interest should be towards learning and not giving up. As programming is a different domain and people tend to give up if things aren't clear for them. So, make sure to not loose interest during the process. To begin you can get help from YouTube Tutorials, Books, Blogs, Apps, Websites. There are plenty of resources available on C and other programming languages on the interest. Take one topic a day, and try to find the meaning & usage of every word or character that has been used within that programme, by googling it. Make sure that you completely understand the programme before moving to the next one. If you can't find or understand something then you can obviously ask your professors too. Also, try to build the habit of being able to code in different IDE's. For instance, the popular Rides for C are CodeBlocks and DevC+, but your college might still be teaching on TurboC+. So, you don't want to be limited by the technology used in your college. Google new things, try them.
