CAT exam needs practice, so you have to give at least 2-3 hours a day. You can join coaching for CAT preparation. You have to think, is this the right time for me because there is no best time. Every individual starts at different time. You know yourself better, so think when to join. Don't skip classes. Focus is very important during preparation of exam like this.
